Cargotec Australia's in-house ENGINEERING Department

Cargotec Australia has its own in-house Engineering department consisting of 4 Professional Engineers and 2 experienced Technicians. The department provides all technical support for the company's branches, agents and customers. Main areas of expertise include:

Pre-sales Support - Involves evaluating a customer's requirements to determine the product most suitable for his/her application, including:

• Axle weight distribution and payload calculations for the vehicle.
• Stability calculations.
• Sub-frame calculations.

Internal Technical Training - Developing and delivering courses to train workshop and sales staff in after-sales support of their customers.

A dedicated training facility has just been opened in Adelaide.

Installation Design / Analysis - For large and/or special projects the Engineering department becomes heavily involved in:

• 3D modeling of the design in Pro/Engineer.
• Analysis of the structure in ANSYS.
• Production of manufacturing drawings.
• Project management of procurement and assembly.
• Testing and commissioning of the completed unit.

Our engineering department can also help our customers who may need specially designed equipment or safety systems fitted.
